What Does The Bible Says About Dinosaurs? Are Dinosaurs In The Bible?

The Bible is a holy religious book seen to answer all life's challenging questions, most people rather believe the Bible than the theology of science. Science over the years have proven that reptiles known to be dinosaurs once existed on the earth we live in, and we are here to discover that on this article through Bible scriptures if that's worth believing.

According to the theology and teaching of science, dinosaurs are any of the numerous extinct mainly terrestrial reptiles of the Mesozoic era, Science differentiated various types of dinosaurs according to their specie type.

  •  Hadrosaurus or duck billed dinosaurs- any of numerous large bipedal ornithischian dinosaurs having a horny duck like bill and webbed feet; may have been partly aquatic in nature.

  •  Ceratopsian or horned dinosaurs- any of several four footed herbivorous dinosaurs with enormous beaked skulls.

  • Saurischian dinosaurs- herbivorous or carnivorous dinosaurs having a three pronged pelvis like that of a crocodile.

  • Sauropod dinosaurs- very large herbivorous dinosaurs of the Jurassic and Cretaceous, having a small head a long neck and tail, 5 toed limbs. It is as well known to be the largest land animal.

  •  Theropod dinosaurs or bird footed dinosaurs- any of numerous carnivorous dinosaurs of the Triassic to Cretaceous with short forelimbs that walked or run on strong hind legs.

Dinosaurs fossil and remains have been discovered several times on every continent of the world, and scientist have also been able to draw up a classification on hundreds of dinosaur species. Evolutionist believe in the fact that dinosaurs have existed a very long time ago, more than 200 million years. Some even say dinosaurs appeared several centuries before man himself was created. The Bible however doesn't argue the fact of dinosaurs existing, but the challenge is that it depicts something entirely different from what the science theory proves. There's no place in the Bible were dinosaurs were mentioned, but that doesn't mean they never existed. Infact there are so many creatures that are not mentioned by name in the Bible, but they do exist. The Bible literally mentioned several creatures having like characteristics to what most scientist believe to be dinosaurs. Like for example the book of Job, said by Bible scholars to be the most oldest book of the Bible made mention of a monster creature named behemoth. This creature wasn't called a dinosaur but it's description and characteristics relates with science theory of dinosaurs.

According to Job 40:15-24

Verse 15 " Look now at the behemoth which I made along with you he eats grass like an ox

Verse 16 " See now, his strength is in his hips, and his power is in his stomach muscles.

Verse 17 " He moves his tail like a ceder; the sinews of his thighs are tightly knit.

Verse 18 " His bones are like beams of bronze, his ribs like bars of lron

Verse 19 " He is the first of the ways of God; only he who made him can bring near his sword.

Verse 20 " Surely the mountains yield food for him, and all the beasts of the field play there.

Verse 21 " He lies under the lotus trees, in a covert of reeds and Marsh.

Verse 22 " The lotus trees cover him with their shade; the willows by the brook surround him.

Verse 23 " Indeed the river may rage, yet he is not disturbed; he is confident, through the Jordan gushes into his mouth.

Verse 24 " Though he takes it in his eyes or one Pierce's with a snare.

The book of Job goes again in the next chapter ( Job 41) to describe another creature this one called Leviathan. Job 41:1-2, 7, 12-32.

Verse 1 " Can you draw out Leviathan with a hook or snare his tongue with a line which you lower?

Verse 2 " Can you put a Reed through his nose, or piece his jaw with a hook?

Verse 7 " Can you fill his skin with harpoons, or his head with fishing Spears?

Verse 12 " I will not conceal his limbs, his mighty power, or his graceful proportions.

Verse 13 " Who can remove his outer coat? Who can approach him with double bridle?

Verse 14 " Who can open the doors of his face, with his terrible teeth all around?

Verse 15 " His rows of scales are his pride shut up tightly as with a seal.

Verse 16 " One is so near another that no air can come between them.

Verse 17 " They are joined one to another, they stick together and cannot be parted.

Verse " 18 His sneezing flash forth light, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

Verse 19 " Out of his mouth go burning lights, Sparks of fire shoot out. Verse 20 " Smoke goes out of his nostrils as from a boiling pot and burning rushes.

Verse 21 " His breath Kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.

Verse 22 " Strength dwells in his neck, and sorrow dances before him.

Verse 23 " The folds of his flesh are joined together; they are firm on him and cannot be moved.

Verse 24 " His heart is as hard as stone, even as hard as the lower milestone.

Verse 25 " When he raises himself up the mighty are afraid; because of his crashings they are beside themselves.

Verse 26 " Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail, nor does spear dart, or javelin.

Verse 27 " He regards iron as straw and bronze as rotten wood.

Verse 28 " The arrow cannot make him flee, sling stones become like stubble to him.

Verse 29 " Darts are regarded as straw; he laughs at the threat of javelins.

Verse 30 " His undersides are like sharp potsherds, he spreads pointed marks in the mire

Verse 31 " He marks the deep boil like a pot; he makes the sea like a pot of ointment.

Verse 32 " He leaves a shining wake behind him; one would think the deep had white hair. This same creature was made mention in some chapters of Psalms and Isaiah as well.

All in all science theory about dinosaurs existing is something to be understood and not doubted as some well notable preferences can be traced back to the Bible with interrelated given descriptions on what science of today call dinosaurs.
